International Nickel Ventures Announces Ticker Symbol Change To ‘INV’

TORONTO, ONTARIO – (CCNMatthews – June 27, 2006) – International Nickel Ventures Corporation (“INV”)(TSX:NVC) today announced that the Company’s stock ticker symbol on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) will change to “INV” effective the start of trading on July 6, 2006. This change will have no impact on the securities issued under its name.

“At the time of the Company’s initial public offering in March 2006, the “INV” ticker symbol was not available. In three short months, the Company has achieved an accumulated land position in Brazil’s foremost nickel camps of 130,000 hectares, with active exploration ongoing at the Santa Fe/Ipora properties by our JV partner Teck Cominco Limited. It makes sense that going forward, we align INV’s ticker symbol with its namesake”, said INV Chairman, Jim Clucas.

INV is a Canadian mineral resource company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of nickel projects in Brazil. Its primary asset is an option to acquire, with partner and operator Teck Cominco Limited, a 75% interest in two advanced-stage nickel laterite deposits, the Santa Fe and the Ipora, in the Goias nickel camp of Brazil. At the end of May 2006, the Stage 2 drilling program was 60% complete – see press release of June 23, 2006 for the excellent progress being made at Santa Fe/Ipora. INV’s 100%-owned land position of prospective nickel properties in Goias, Para and Tocantins States now totals 130,000 hectares, including the recently optioned Aviao property located 55 km from Falconbridge Limited’s significant nickel laterite discoveries in Para State. INV has a cash position of over $20 million and has 34.5 million outstanding shares. For more information, please refer to the Company’s website at
